I feel Lighter...more Me~
Lighten-UP!l began for Me when.... a Horse rolled over on top of me almost 20 years ago. I couldn't walk, reach to itch my thigh, wash my hair by myself, get into a bath tub, drive a car. I couldn't turn to look over my shoulder... at all. Stand to make my dinner, walk without a walker. I was forced to sit still, listen to my heart, pay attention to my emotions. I was forced to STOP... and I soon realized that I was always Choosing something. Will I Live & Learn thru my Changes & Challenges or repeat the way I deal with it...and not listen to Albert Einstein's wisdom? Eventually.... I chose to SEE (Sense.Energy.Evolve). To Accept... It is what it is. Ask myself Do I like this or that? What Can I Change in what I do or feel?
This is what lighten UP! is all about. Realizing that deep in the soul is everything we need to know. Being happy is my inner compass... take note of JOY when it happens. That is the direction I should choose.
Life is messy... We come into this life forgetting that we know. How we live and what we choose helps us remember.
Lighten-UP! is how I began... to remember Me.
As luck would have it ...This phrase always says to me the Universe is always working in my favor-FYI! I found my way to doing what I love! I never thought my career would be a Wedding Ceremony Creator & Officiant. Inspirational Speaker to 'Lighten UP!' Helping families as a Life Celebrant create their ceremony to Celebrate their Loved One's Life... their way. Public speaking-It is crazy. I feel calm when I get infront of people. Sure I am nervous before hand... but then I just listen to my heart and I see you and it's all good. The time came whenI knew I couldn't do the 8-5 anymore and soon a good friend of mine, asked me to officiate his wedding. I had never done this before and they trusted me and it I enjoyed the whole process of meeting with them, creating their ceremony so it was personal. We laughed, cried and there was love & Joy. One thing led to another. Word of mouth referrals...and now 16 years later I still Love what I do.
''Lighten UP!" is a reminder to take a chill pill. You've got this. You can do this.. what is this ? To Be Yourself ! Live your Life as Your Adventure - Your Way! Love what you do-It is like a puzzle putting your pieces together. Choose to like yourself more and to be yourself more. What I didn't know/realize then, that I know now is .. We practice being ourselves our whole lives! So, pay attention to Change & Challenge. They are there for a reason. TAKE NOTE... of happy moments... Those are the BIG SIGNS of the right direction.
My Children & Grandchildren are my best teachers. They remind me to 'Lighten UP!' Play MORE. To be in the moment...more.
We all began with Baby Steps THEN learned to crawl... walk... then run. Everyone's timing is UNIQUE! Begin something new with baby steps. Pay more attention like children do... to what is fun. Remember to Play with friends..more. When I learned that my Change & Challenges all have purpose and a reason. I listen, pause and choose more carefully. I practice my partnership with the Universe. I collect my pieces to my puzzle and put them together. A small puzzle forms then all of sudden it changes and gets bigger and now I need more pieces. That is just how it works.
And to 'Lighten-UP!' makes it flow easier and it certainly is more fun!

Born & raised on a family farm in Iowa. A country girl at Heart, with virtues of telling the truth, fess up to my mistakes and be a good person. I learned to live with ~some days are better than others.
Being Me~Is Always a Work in Progress A very...proud Mom & Gramma. I love being a Grandma to 6 wonder-full grandchildren who remind me to Play ! A strong supporter of Farmers Markets and to buy local. Family is the best & most important part of my life. ps: I live in the Small Town I grew up in. I'm Proud of my family, community and our amazing volunteer fire department. |

~ since 2005 One thing led to another to where I have officiated and supported families in over 350 Weddings and 300 Life Celebration services. Putting others at ease, listening, Lightening UP! their Spirit, no matter how elated, conflicted or sad their emotions. My work has traveled mostly by word of mouth. I write Love Stories and Life memory Stories. The words come into my heart, in a way that fits the family, the couple, their family and friends. I speak these words from my Heart We laugh and cry while making a special memory to last a lifetime. My hope, always, is for my clients to feel they received more than they hoped for. My clients are why I love what I do. My passion and ability to create their stories and personalize their ceremonies plus facilitating. Attention to the details is Key. If there is drama, I always understand that heightened emotions are because of the special, important, once in a lifetime day. Yes I love that, too! To be the calm and the reassurance that everything is just fine.. It's going to be great! My Educational Background is Life School of Live & Learn. |
